In March 2025, TÜV SÜD tested UNISCE compact HPL against EN 438, the European standard for HPL panels. The fire test, to EN 13501-1, classed the 12 mm panel B-s1, d0. It adds very little to a fire, gives off little smoke and does not drop burning pieces.
