Compact HPL Panels: solid boards that won’t swell, peel or rot

Compact HPL is a solid board made from layers of kraft paper soaked in resin, then pressed under high heat and high pressure. There is no wood core inside. The board is the same dense material from one face to the other.

That is why it is the standard for public washrooms. Water, humidity, scratches and marker pens stay on the surface. The board stands on its own, so it can be cut into toilet partitions, doors, urinal dividers, lockers, shower cubicles, worktops and wall cladding.

Check genuine UNISCE Compact HPL yourself with a UV light

1. Look at the film. Genuine UNISCE sheets arrive with UNISCE printed protective film on the face.
2. Shine a UV light on the sheet. Genuine UNISCE sheets carry an anti-counterfeit hologram mark that shows up under UV light.
3. Ask for the papers. A real UNISCE supply comes with the product submittal and the TÜV SÜD reports.

Compact HPL Care: 10 to 15 years with soap and water

Indoors, compact HPL usually lasts 10 to 15 years, often more. It does not need painting, polishing or sealing.

Keeping it that way is simple. Wipe it with soap and water. Check the hinges and locks once a year and tighten what has loosened. That is all.

What contractors ask about compact HPL

Is compact HPL waterproof? It is made for wet areas. Splashes, mopping and humidity do not get into the board. That is why it is the standard for public washrooms, shower areas and changing rooms.

What thickness do toilet partitions need? 12 mm is the usual thickness for partitions and doors in Egypt. We also supply 13 mm.

Do you sell panels only, or supply and install? Both. Contractors buy panels and hardware from us. Project owners hand us the whole washroom and our team installs it.

Is compact HPL fire resistant? The 12 mm UNISCE panel was classed B-s1, d0 by TÜV SÜD to EN 13501-1. It adds very little to a fire and gives off little smoke.
