Compact HPL is high pressure laminate manufactured as a solid board rather than a decorative face over a soft core. Kraft paper is saturated in phenolic resin and pressed under heat into one dense homogeneous slab, normally 12mm or 13mm for cubicle work. It is waterproof throughout, non porous and self supporting.
