Compact HPL Partitions in the Third Settlement, Cairo
The Third Settlement is still handing over. New schools, service buildings and administrative blocks come into use every year along Mohamed Naguib Axis and the Cairo Suez Road, and most of them settle the partition package with the main contractor only weeks before opening. That makes fabrication dates matter more than anything else. Cairo House EG supplies and installs compact HPL partitions across the Third Settlement, working to the contractor programme rather than around it.

What compact HPL is, and why Third Settlement handovers specify it
Compact HPL is high pressure laminate supplied as a solid board rather than a thin skin. Layers of kraft paper are saturated in phenolic resin and pressed under heat until they fuse into one dense sheet, normally 12mm or 13mm for cubicle work. The board is the structure, so there is no chipboard or MDF core to absorb water and swell along the bottom edge.
On a handover programme that property decides the specification. A washroom signed off in month one gets snagged in month three, and anything that has already lifted or swollen becomes a defect on your list rather than a maintenance item later. Compact panels do not move, so the washroom you hand over is the washroom that gets accepted.
The second reason is sequencing. Compact HPL arrives cut, edged and drilled to an approved layout and goes in near the end of the fit out, after tiling and painting. It does not need a substrate, a frame or a wet trade, so it drops into a tight programme without pulling other packages forward.
We supply UNISCE panels in 12mm and 13mm with stainless steel 304 hardware throughout. Hinges and locks are the moving parts and the first thing an operator complains about, and plated steel rusts at the fixing points within a year in a humid washroom.

Where compact HPL earns its cost on Third Settlement projects
Schools and academies
New school buildings across the First, Second and Third Districts push hundreds of students through the same washrooms in short bursts. Vandal resistance and fast hardware replacement matter more than finish.
Administrative buildings
Repeat core washrooms floor by floor are the easiest kind of programme to run, because one approved detail repeats and the fabrication schedule becomes predictable.
Clinics and medical centres
A non porous surface with no open seams is far easier to sign off on an infection control review than tiled blockwork with grout lines.
Compound service buildings
Club houses, gyms and staff facilities inside Third Settlement compounds need a partition that will not put the facilities team on a seasonal maintenance cycle.
Retail and food outlets
Service buildings along Mohamed Naguib Axis have tight washroom footprints that need cubicles cut to the millimetre and colour matched to the fit out.
Contractor packages
Where a main contractor holds the programme, phased delivery matters as much as price. We split supply so panels do not pile up in a room that is not ready.

What we supply and install in the Third Settlement
Cairo House EG has been supplying construction finishing materials in Cairo since 2015, and we are the exclusive agent in Egypt for UNISCE compact HPL panels. Everything below is supplied and fitted by our own teams, not subcontracted out.
Compact HPL toilet partitions
Complete partition runs cut to your layout, including urinal screens, head rails and adjustable stainless feet. See our HPL compact partition system.
Corian washroom work
Bathroom surfaces specified where hygiene audits apply and tiled detailing will not pass. See Corian washroom surfaces.
Reception and bar counters
Countertops repairable in place, which matters over a five to ten year lease. See seamless Corian counters.
Corian table tops
Custom table tops for restaurants and cafes, cut to shape and fitted to your chosen bases. See fabricated Corian tables.
Wet area shower enclosures
Shower cubicles that sit in standing water daily without swelling, because the panel is waterproof through its thickness. See HPL compact showers.
Changing room lockers
Changing room lockers in matching colours, sized to the bay rather than bought in fixed modules. See panel built lockers.

Serving the Third Settlement and the surrounding areas
Our premises are in El Nozha El Gedida, Heliopolis, and the Third Settlement is a straight run through Suez Road. That is close enough for a same day site survey and for our fitters to work a full shift on your site rather than losing half of it in traffic.
Projects still under finishing change dimensions after render and floor tiling. We survey once the screed is down and the walls are rendered, then fabricate while the rest of the fit out continues. That single sequencing rule removes most of the surprises that show up on installation day.
Where a main contractor controls access, we agree the delivery window in advance and bring panels cut to size so time on site is short. From the same base we also cover the First and Fifth Settlements, Madinaty, Shorouk and Obour on the same eastern run. You can also see our supply and installation service.

What to expect when you work with us
Most washroom jobs go wrong at measurement, not at installation. Our process is built around removing that risk before a single panel is cut.
- Site survey. We measure the actual shell after screed and render, not the drawing, because new build shells in the Third Settlement are rarely square.
- Layout and panel selection. You get a cubicle layout with door swings and clear widths marked, plus physical panel samples so the colour is approved against your fit out and not against a screen.
- Quotation. Itemised by panel, hardware and installation, so you can see exactly what is being priced and adjust the specification if the budget needs it.
- Fabrication. Panels are cut, edge finished and drilled to the approved layout, with phased batches where the contractor programme calls for it. Sheets stay under factory film until they reach site.
- Installation. Our own fitters set out, install head rails, pilasters and doors, then adjust every hinge and lock before handover.
- Handover and after sales. We walk the washroom with you, hand over spare hardware, and stay reachable for adjustments once the building is in real use.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can you work to a main contractor programme? Yes, and it is how most Third Settlement projects run. Give us the handover date and the access window and we will fix fabrication dates against it, then deliver in phases so panels do not sit in a room that is not finished.
When should we survey a building still under finishing? After the screed is down and the walls are rendered. Measuring before that produces panels cut to dimensions that no longer exist by the time we come back to install.
What panel thickness should a school washroom use? 13mm. School washrooms take a heavy burst of use between periods and the doors get pushed hard. For an administrative floor with lower footfall, 12mm is sufficient and costs less.
How long does a Third Settlement washroom take? Fabrication runs five to seven working days after the layout and colour are approved. A washroom with four to six cubicles is normally fitted in one to two working days once panels arrive.
Can you deliver in phases across a multi building site? Yes. We split the supply by block or by floor to match your programme, which avoids storing panels on a live site where they can be damaged by other trades.
Do you supply the stainless steel hardware or do we source it separately? We supply it. Hinges, indicator locks, brackets, pilaster shoes and coat hooks are all stainless steel 304, which matters in a humid washroom because plated steel rusts at the fixing points within a year or two.
Do you provide technical data for consultant approval? Yes. Panel data sheets, hardware specification and physical samples go out with the quotation so the approval process does not hold up fabrication.
What does a compact HPL partition cost in the Third Settlement? Pricing depends on panel thickness, colour, cubicle count and the hardware specification, so a real number needs your layout. Send drawings or rough dimensions and we will return an itemised quotation rather than a headline rate that changes later.

Send us the washroom layout, or just the number of cubicles and the rough dimensions, and we will come back with an itemised quotation. If drawings are not ready yet, we will survey the site and produce the layout for you.
Site visits across the Third Settlement are arranged the same week in most cases. To contact us to arrange a survey, call or message us any time.
